Dear Chamber Members, please provide your input into the future rehabilitation of the Bala Falls Road Bridge (the historic wooden bridge over South Bala Falls on Bala Falls Road). Deadline for your input is this Friday, December 4, 2020.

You will see these ‘alternative’ solutions for rebuilding the bridge have been identified as follows:

  • Do Nothing
  • Remove Bridge
  • Rehabilitate Existing Bridge
  • Replace Bridge

Next follow these steps:

  1. Fill in the Comment Card
  2. Scan it to your Computer
  3. Send it via email to Tim Sopkowe in Township Public Works at tsopkowe@muskokalakes.ca

OR Fill it in and Drop it in the Township Mail Box on the Township Building at 1 Bailey Street Port Carling

CAN’T SCAN A DOCUMENT?

Alternatively, put your filled in Comment Card and drop it in to the BLACK Mail Box at the Chamber Office door in Bala by 9am Friday, December 4. We will scan and email the Comment Card for you to ensure it makes it to Township by deadline.

Please note: The Chamber has provided input that the bridge (if it needs refurbishing as we’re told it does) should be rehabilitated or replaced… AND should this happen, the Chamber has requested the bridge be designed to look as much as possible like the historic wooden bridge the community loves so much.
