Turtles are older than the dinosaurs. They are our link to the past and this planet. They are the foundation of healthy aquatic ecosystems and they can live a very long time. But they are under threat of extinction…we are losing too many turtles. The Land Between is a landscape of hope. Also known as Cottage Country, this region extends from Georgian Bay to the Ottawa Valley, and it has more turtles than anywhere in the province. If we are to recover turtle populations and keep our lakes healthy, this is the place it can be done. Learn about these amazing creature and this unique landscape at this presentation. Learn how to help turtle recovery efforts and how groups have banded together to support these outcomes.
