We kicked off the summer right at Spotlight on Muskoka Lakes back in June – and we had so many great photos that it’s taken us a while to compile a photo essay of the night. We hope you enjoy re-living the evening through pictures.
Over 350 people attended our June soiree that puts a spotlight on our Chamber members – through a scrumptious marché provided by member restaurants, silent auction items and world class entertainment sponsored by Harvey Kalles. But it’s the people who turn out to support the community that count. So did we catch you in the photo booth? Or out on the dance floor? Click here to go to our Photo Booth Part 1 on Facebook and see if you can find your moment at The Kee. Click here to view Photo Booth Part 2.
If you missed it this year, watch for our June date for next year’s event. This event raises money for Chamber activities aimed at putting money right back into the business community. For example, we run paid advertising campaigns urging people to shop local. This year we raised enough to include a new Explore Minett campaign, a Discover Bala campaign, and a Shop Local campaign supporting Port Carling Midday Madness sales.
Thank you to our Chamber member sponsors with whom we couldn’t have done it! Thanks to The Kee, Muskoka Party Rentals, Bala and Port Carling Garden Centre, Busy Lizzie, Charmed Events & Design, Port Carling Dental, Steingard Photography and Walker’s Point Marina.
Thank you to our restaurants and food and drink providers: Crossroads, Bala Falls Pub, Lakeside Bala, Knead Pizza, Muskoka Boil Co, Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery, Milford Bay Trout Farm, Taco Kar, Castle Blue and Stephen’s Butcher Shop. Thank you to Muskoka Brewery for providing sampling of their delicious brews.
Thank you to our mega talented performers: MC Beverley Mahood and friends Leah Daniels, Mac Shepherd, John Anderson, Al Rowe, and surprise musical guest, Dr. Faisal Bawa. Special thanks to Tom Cross of Harvey Kalles who together with Beverley put together our stellar musical lineup.
Thank you to every member who donated one of our 90 silent auction items.
And thanks to our many volunteers, from Annette Procunier and Eva Moore who worked the door, to Dave Peters for handling our grand prize draw, to the Community Service group from Beaver Creek who set up all the tables and décor, to our Chamber President Spencer Morland who arranged for the tear down, and to staff members Katelyn Broad and Elisabeth Boyle for putting in an extra long day and to Andrea Peters for providing her staff from Charmed Events to keep everything running smoothly.
Finally, thanks to our photographer from Steingard Studios for capturing our event from behind her lens. Some photos from the evening are below. Want to sponsor next year’s event? Contact the Chamber and we’ll get you involved in this event that showcases all things great in Muskoka Lakes.
