Your Muskoka Lakes Chamber recently wrapped up a paid social media campaign in July showing as many people as possible how Minett is a great place to visit – and urging them to shop locally there. Our

Explore Minett campaign launched the same day in June as the Experience Minett brochure, produced by Kirsten Nicolson, so there was social media and print exposure happening at the same time. The Chamber plans to re-run the Facebook campaign soon and the ads are still be showing on Instagram.

We thought you’d like to know the results of this small, yet effective campaign.

For the time period from June 26 to July 15, the Explore Minett Facebook campaign reached over 54,000 people, earning 71,000 impressions. Almost 900 people clicked through to the Minett community page on our Chamber website which lists Chamber members based out of Minett. We urge you to visit the Minett page which features a beautiful photograph of the waterfront of Clevelands House by Ed Boutilier.

For this campaign, we highlighted Chamber members Tri Lakes Training, PIE Clevelands House, Clevelands House, Clear Water Property Management, JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa, The Rock Golf Club and Summer Water Sports (SWS).

For the techies or social media gurus out there that might be interested, here’s how engagement with our Facebook campaign broke down by device. It shows how people using their mobile phones are connecting with us the most often.

The Chamber thanks Chamber member Glass Cliff Divas for handling the creative and media buy for this campaign, our first ever focusing solely on Minett. This is one of three “Discover/Shop Local” ad campaigns the Chamber will run this year paid for money raised by our June Spotlight on Muskoka Lakes event. The Spotlight event features our Chamber members and is designed to raise money to help pay for activities that put yet another ‘spotlight’ on our business community – such as these paid advertising campaigns.
