If you want to wakesurf, wakeboard, water-ski, flyboard or try out a new Lift electric hydrofoil surfboard, Muskoka Wake has the training, enthusiastic staff and years of experience to make it happen.
“We have a passion for water sports and we want to share it with others,” says internationally experienced professional wakeboarder Andy Milovanovic of the business he started 12 years ago. “We share our excitement and skills that are part of the cottaging lifestyle, in a safe and respectful manner.”
Their new Muskoka Wake store in Port Carling in Steamboat Bay Plaza is an exciting venture, a place to showcase the Lift eFoil – an electric hydrofoil surfboard product. “It’s also a space to learn about everything that we can do to enhance your summer experience on the water with a variety of coaching options,” he says.
You can also buy an eFoil and book an eFoil lesson or demo, crafting the adventure that’s best for you with an all-electric, silent motor that glides through any body of water.
If you are on Lake Joseph, Rosseau, Muskoka or Lake of Bays, Muskoka Wake can bring one of their 2023 Nautique boats from their fleet provided by Pride Marine Group to your dock and offer private lessons to you or your crew. If you are on another lake or have your own wakeboard boat, Muskoka Wake can come to your cottage and coach you, on your favourite watersport, using your own boat.
Popular for those between about 6 and 14 are weeklong half-day surf camps. There are a variety of camp offerings, all the way from beginner to specializing in wakeboarding and wakesurfing, taking your skills to the next level, or trying flyboarding on flyboard Fridays.
“We provide a comprehensive water sport experience and it’s a great way for kids to meet others on the lake who share a common interest in watersports,” says Andy. “A positive day at Muskoka Wake is filled with smiles and new accomplishments all around. We define our successes each day based on our clients’ joy, excitement and enthusiasm.”
Muskoka Wake values community and is the lead presenter for the Bala Home Opener Shop Local Event on June 23. Learn more about that great event here. “We want to engage and be part of the community and give back,” says Ashley Freiheit, Muskoka Wake administrator.
“Community is a big part of the culture at Muskoka Wake,” says Andy. “We believe in giving back at Muskoka Wake, to both seasonal and year-round residents alike.
“A full circle moment for us is when Muskoka Wake families end up sharing their passion, graduating from student to instructor,” he says. “They take on an evolving role at Muskoka Wake.”
