Remembrance Day Ceremonies

In Bala and Wahta, at Wahta Cenotaph. Please gather before 11am.
In Port Carling, at Port Carling Cenotaph at Port Carling Community Centre (across from Port Carling Legion). Please gather before 11am.
In Rosseau, at Rosseau Memorial Hall starting 10:45am.
The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 424, invites interested parties to make arrangements for the placement of a wreath or cross on the occasion of Remembrance Day ceremonies at the Wahta Cenotaph on November 11, 2023 at 11 A.M. Following the ceremony, everyone has been invited inside for snacks and refreshments. Branch 424 will also be open afterwards.
The placement is done in memory of a loved one or in tribute to the thousands of our service people who served in conflicts in far-off lands. The proceeds from the wreaths, crosses and poppy donations are directed to meeting the needs of veterans and their families who reside in the Bala area.
