The MLA is a volunteer-membership based organization with over 2000 active members. The association has an 18 member board and 4 committees comprised of board members and member volunteers.

The MLA’s mission is to advocate for responsible stewardship and enjoyment of the unique environment of the Muskoka Lakes. Our vision is that, through achieving our mission, the Muskoka Lakes are preserved and enhanced for all generations to enjoy and value. There are three scales that are important to the MLA: The Muskoka watershed, politics and lake environments.
