At the start, the company had a focus on the logging industry; however, it was soon clear that the company’s future lay in road construction, aggregates and asphalt production. In 1971, Bruce Evans purchased the company and started it on a path of expansion that would lead to the Fowler Construction that most people recognize today. Water and sewer work, golf course construction, seasonal road maintenance, as well as excavation and site preparation, were added to Fowler’s list of services.
